Condition Based Servicing (CBS)

To ensure your MINI gets attention when it needs it, your MINI now has Condition Based Service technology.  This means your MINI only receives attention when it needs it, saving you both time and money. CBS sensors monitor the condition of parts such as spark plugs, filters, and brake pads as well as all operating fluids.A microchip in your remote control key stores the data and our MINI Approved Technicians then download the information using a KeyReader when you bring your MINI in for maintenance. You can sit back and relax knowing that we use Genuine MINI Parts to restore your MINI to optimum condition.

	Engine oil Service		Front brakes
	• An engine oil service can increase the longevity of the engine’s friction components and ensure optimum performance • Change engine oil and oil filter • Check handbrake operation • Micro filter for heating or air conditioning system replaced periodically (change cycle depends on model) • Air filter and fuel filter replaced periodically (change cycle depends on model) • Spark plugs replaced periodically for petrol models to ensure engine runs at optimum efficiency		• Brakes are maintained to ensure high performance and constant safety • Clean brakes • Replace brake pads and wear sensors if necessary • Replace brake discs if worn to recommended change point
			Rear brakes
			• Brakes are maintained to ensure high performance and constant safety • Clean brakes • Replace brake pads and wear sensors if necessary • Replace brake discs if worn to recommended change point
	Vehicle check		MOT
	• Diagnosis quick test • Check exterior panelling and under body for corrosion and damage • Check tyres, steering and shock absorbers • Check electrical systems including battery and headlights • Safety checks including brakes and seatbelts • Check coolant and fluid levels		• Statutory inspection for vehicles three years and older • Annual check comprising of over 150 safety-related items and emission system test • Items checked include headlights, steering, brakes, suspension, instrument cluster, seats/seatbelts, windscreen/ wipers, VIN, doors and wheels/tyres
	Brake fluid		Standard scope
	• Replace brake fluid every two years; brake fluid is hydroscopic (absorbs moisture) and so its performance deteriorates over time • Replacement brake fluid reduces corrosion of ABS components and steel pistons as well as maintaining braking performance		• Carried out at every visit including diagnostic interrogation, check indicator and warning lights on instrument cluster and reset CBS display • Check and verify any control messages.
