The new BMW 1 Series Convertible (E88), the fourth and final member of the 1 Series family, was launched on 5 April. With the increase in size and the more exclusive positioning of the 3 Series Convertible, the 1 Series Convertible fills a market gap below this, targeting a younger audience and setting new standards in the premium Compact Convertible Class.

A low, elegant shoulder line ensures the new BMW 1 Series Convertible has a stylish eye-catching design and makes for the most involving open-air driving experience in its class. The soft-top is designed for maximum convenience (opening in just 22 seconds, it can be operated at up to 25mph, and continue up to 30mph), the range of equipment is unique in a convertible of this class (including entertainment options such as USB connectivity), and the car also has the very best in safety technology (including automatic roll bars and reinforced A-pillar).

BMW Efficient Dynamics
The new BMW 1 Series Convertible also features a full range of BMW EfficientDynamics Technologies which provide outstanding fuel consumption and emissions: the BMW 120d Convertible for example, is more economical and more powerful than competitor diesel convertibles of 55.4mpg and CO2emissions of just 134g/km.
