Electric is coming

While MINI celebrates its 60th anniversary, the next wave of innovation is just around the corner. March 2020 sees the release of MINI Electric. The iconic character of a MINI, with the futuristic power of electric.

A car that feels like electric and looks like MINI. The all electric three door hatch will be available from March next year, complete with the classic design and legendary handling.

Available in six colours, with customisable features and a fully digital display inside the cabin, you’ll be cruising through the town with bold 17-inch Corona Spoke alloys. This is the icon, reimagined.

It’s all in the details. AC for easy home charging and DC for super-fast on the go charging, you won’t be left yearning for more power. The full digital display comes with MINI Navigation, offering live traffic updates and shows nearby electric charging stations. Feel the future in the cockpit, with information at the touch of a button and control at your fingertips.

With up to 144 miles from a single charge, you’ll enjoy hours of non-stop adventure. If you’ve got the climate on your mind, you can rest easy knowing that you’ll be emitting 0g/km of CO2, so you can drive into the night guilt free.

As it stands, there are over 6,100 public charging points across the UK with that number only set to increase as electric grows in popularity. There are also financial perks to owning a MINI Electric, aside from the cash you’ll save on running costs – hello electric and goodbye pricey diesel. The government currently offer £3,500 towards a new car that falls into the category of a low emission vehicle. So, you can get on the road for even less and feel the power of electric.
